Parking Cameras
A Reversing camera or Rear view Camera is the best way to get that "quick glance" behind your vehicle before you actually start reversing. An added bonus is if you have a trailer or caravan, you can accurately judge how close your tow bar is to the target. No more asking someone for directions and them potentially yelling "STOP" too late!
We only use "CCD" or "CMD" as opposed to "CMOS" cameras at MCS. These cameras offer good night vision (while CMOS doesn't) and good white balance (if the sun hits a CMOS camera, no image!)
Some new, High-end vehicles have front and side cameras for a more enhanced safe driving experience. At MCS, we have a device that will automatically turn the front camera on as soon as the engine has started and stays on for 10 seconds, (just enough time to glance at whats in front of the car 'below the bonnet – where you can't see). If installed with a Front parking sensor kit, the front camera will also activated as long as it is in the detection zone (very handy to see what is actually there!). The Reverse camera will always override the system.
